Sterilization is a key process to ensure spice food safety and extend shelf life. The continuous steam spice sterilization production line has become a mainstream high-efficiency processing solution for the global spice industry, solving the long-standing industry dilemma of “difficult sterilization standard compliance or lost natural flavor after sterilization”.
Different from traditional batch sterilization equipment, this production line adopts a fully enclosed continuous automatic operation mode, realizing one-stop processing from raw material feeding to finished product output. The core of the equipment is the high-precision saturated steam sterilization technology, which stably controls the steam temperature at 102–122°C and completes short-time sterilization within 20–40 seconds. With the strong penetration of saturated steam, it can thoroughly kill harmful bacteria on the surface and inside granular and powdery spices, achieving a sterilization rate of up to 99.99% and fully meeting international food safety standards.
The entire production process is standardized and streamlined with stable and reliable operation. First, raw spices are fed through a wind-locking feeding system to avoid external secondary pollution. Then materials are spread in a uniform thin layer to ensure full contact with steam and consistent sterilization effect for each batch of materials. After instantaneous high-efficiency sterilization, the materials immediately enter the low-temperature hot air drying and gradient cooling process. This mild high-temperature short-time (HTST) processing method effectively locks the natural essential oil, color, and unique flavor of spices, avoiding the problems of aroma loss, discoloration, and nutrient degradation caused by long-time high-temperature sterilization of traditional equipment.
The whole line operates in a fully closed environment, which completely isolates external dust and bacteria pollution and ensures the sanitary safety of the production process. After sterilization and cooling, the finished products will go through automatic screening and metal detection procedures to remove impurities and unqualified materials, finally producing high-quality, safe, and stable spice products. In addition, the equipment supports continuous large-scale production with adjustable processing capacity, adapting to the production demands of small-batch customized processing and large-batch mass production.
Widely applicable to chili powder, cinnamon, ginger powder, turmeric, pepper, and various dried herbs and spices, the continuous steam spice sterilization production line integrates safety, efficiency, and product quality retention. It helps spice manufacturers reduce production costs, improve product qualification rate, and enhance core competitiveness in the global food ingredient market, becoming an indispensable intelligent processing equipment for modern standardized spice production.
