Safety valve of the sterilizer

Safety valve of the sterilizer
Keywords: ,

The sterilizer retort is a pressure vessel. In order to prevent the retort from working, the pressure in the retort exceeds the pressure that the retort can withstand, and each retort must be installed with a safety valve. The maximum operating pressure of the sterilizer retort is usually not more than 90% of the design pressure of the sterilizer retort.

Safety valves should be installed in accordance with safety regulations:

1. Regular calibration: The safety valve should be regularly sent to the qualified unit for calibration according to the relevant provisions of the pressure vessel, and the lead seal should be added after each calibration, indicating the calibration date and validity period.

2. Safety valve release direction: Almost all germicidal POTS are equipped with safety valves, but many manufacturers do not pay attention to the direction of the release pressure port. The correct installation method is to use pipes to change the direction of the pressure release port, so that it is good to the ground, and do not move the pipe port toward the operator or where someone may walk, so as to avoid personal safety accidents.
