Working Principle of Steam Sterilizers
The steam sterilizer generates saturated steam by heating water with electric heating wires, establishing a high-temperature and high-pressure environment (such as 121°C, above 0.1MPa) within a sealed pressure vessel. In this environment, the proteins of microorganisms coagulate and denature, and the cell membrane structure is destroyed, effectively killing them. The working process typically includes several stages: preheating/deaeration, heating and pressurisation, insulation and maintaining pressure (sterilisation), depressurisation and cooling, and drying (optional). The temperature, pressure, and time of the entire process can be accurately controlled by an automatic control system to ensure sterilisation effectiveness and operational safety.
